Who We Are

Moden Classics was born from a simple yet powerful idea: to create fashion statement clothing! And what better way to do that in a corduroy styled dungaree. The brand is founded by Ronisha Steenberg, her vision was based on the mixture of chic and funk in a contemporary twist that accommodates all sexes.

Ronisha is the driving force behind Modern Classics, she is a passionate advocate for sustainable fashion and self-expression. See link for jewellery designs she created that integrates recycling and social issues done in 2020: With her background in design and a keen eye for detail. Ronisha dedicated her craftsmanship and love for fashion to push boundaries and redefine what Modern Classics encompasses.

Kariema is our tailor. With her hands and heart, Modern Classics is made with dedication to her craft of sewing. She works her magic on every item to ensure it is up to standard. Ronisha and Kariema met in 2019 at a store in Maitland while Ronisha was out scouting for second hand clothing to resell on consignment in Observatory. The two formed an entrepreneurial relationship with these regular visits to gather which ultimately led to the birth of Modern Classics.

Soreya is our pattern maker. She allows the flow of creativity to expand. Her speciality is the basis for Moden Classics to constantly expand its designs and embark on journey to explore what can be created.
